The Blair Foundation was founded by Dr. Charles E. Blair in 1967 to minister to the needs of those less fortunate
then ourselves. Since the fall of Communism in Ethiopia in 1991, Dr. Blair has committed his life to ministering to the
people of Ethiopia. In 2005 this work led him to one of the most remote regions of Ethiopia, the Benishangul-Gumuz
Regional State on the border with Sudan. This region was the site of intense warfare during the overthrow of the
Communist "Dreg" government and today continues to experience tension and violence. A Born Again Christian himself,
Regional State President Yaregal Aysheshim heard of the Blair Foundation's work in planting over 800 new churches
throughout Ethiopia. President Yaregal invited the Blair Foundation to bring the word of Christ to his region through
the unprecedented building of 1,000 new churches. Through prayer and faith Dr. Blair invited his friends around the
world to participate. The response was overwhelming and today the Foundation has planted 1,311 new churches in the
Region and continues to expand its mission through a variety of projects.
Our Vision: To serve as a prophetic voice igniting believers to impact and influence the world for Christ.
